Meritocracy has long been prized as one of our garden city’s shining principles: if you work hard enough, you’ll be able to attain success. One might even recognise it as part of Singapore’s cultural heritage. But… how true is that now? How hard is it to attain success in the past as compared to in the present? Do students really have it “easier”? Through a choice-based visual novel that players can navigate through simple mouse clicks, we hope to take players onto a day-to-day journey of a secondary student.
This game was a part of Heritage Game Jam 2020 - A Singapore based game jam in which games are used as a medium to talk about Singapore culture and heritage: past, present, and future.
